GETTING A COLLEGE LOAN

College can be expensive, but that doesn’t mean it’s an option only for those with trust funds. You can get financial aid, apply for scholarships, take out a loan, or opt for a lighter course load and work while you put yourself through school.

CHOOSING A COURSE

Most teenagers don’t have clearcut career goals by the time they graduate from high school. Fortunately, you don’t have to select a course immediately. It’s possible to enroll in general subjects first, then choose a major after two years. Others enroll in an online program and work for a few years, just to get an idea of what kind of work they will enjoy, and then go to a bigger university when they feel ready (at least, by then, they’ve gotten some of the general credits out of the way).
